I figured a lot of people would be doing their blog post over their favorite TV show, movie, book, sports, or sports team. So I decided to do mine over something different, that I personally find very unique, mental illnesses. Many people overlook how lucky we are to only hear things that are real, only see things that are real, to have a stable mood, or to have only one personality. There's thousands of different mental illness, but I'm focusing on just 3, schizophrenia, bipolar, and multiple personality disorders.

First, schizophrenia a mental illness which makes it hard to determine what's real and what's not. There’s no known cause of this disorder. Many people with these disorder have hallucinations and delusions. They go through life wondering if someone really said that or what they just saw was real. They also feel as if they are being controlled by outside forces. Most people try to stay away from social events. There are no treatments to make this disorder completely go away, but theres medicines to help control the symptoms.

Second, bipolar disorder. This disorder makes you have extreme mood swings from sad to happy. There’s no known cause for this disorder. They can go from happy to suicidal in seconds. Actually most bipolar cases end in suicide due to the rapid changes. One minute they can be the happiest person ever then the next the can be the madest person ever. There are no treatment for this, but they do have medicine and therapy to control the symptoms.

Last but not least, dissociative identity disorder also known as multiple personality disorder. This disorder is caused from trauma during the early childhood. Its a severe form of dissociation where there is a lack of connection between a person’s thoughts, memories, feelings, actions, and sense of identity. These people seem to have bipolar disorder but they do not they have different personality also known as alters. They can switch from one alter to the next and can have more than two. Each alter has its own gender, race, age, and way of thinking and talking. They also have their own gestures and posture. Some alters may be imaginary people or even animals. To switch from one alter to the next may take seconds, days, weeks, or even months. They also have sleep disorders and psychotic symptoms delusions and hallucinations.
